practical tips on beginning and ending a meditation practice

Each of the Naampedia Symbol Report includes several meditations that are most beneficial for that particular period, deflecting negative influences and bringing out the positive aspects of that planetary energy. During a particular period, choose one of the meditations that feels right for you and work with that meditation for the 52-day cycle. Be consistent, and do not overdo it by practicing all of the suggested meditations.

How to begin a meditation

Adi Mantra

It is important to tune in before you begin.  Tuning in with the Adi Mantra quickly centers yourself and opens the protective channel for energy to flow and tunes you in to the Supreme Consciousness.  Breath gives power to the mantra, so always chant after taking a full breath through the nose.

Easy Pose

Sit on the floor with legs crossed comfortably, maintaining a straight spine and relaxed shoulders.

Prayer Pose Mudra (Eyes are closed)

Press your palms together, and place you hands at your heart center with the thumbs at the sternum.

ONG Namo Mantra

Ong Namo, Guru Dev Namo

Chant at least 3 times.  Do the first part on breath one, ONG NAMO, take another breath and do the second part, GURU DEV NAMO.

This mantra means I call on the infinite creative consciousness.  I call on the divine within.

To end a meditation

Bij Mantra

It is important to end each meditation by tuning out with the Bij Mantra. Sat Nam is the Bij Mantra, which means “the name of God is truth”, “true identity” and “Truth is my identity.”

Easy Pose

Sit on the floor with legs crossed comfortably, maintaining a straight spine and relaxed shoulders.

Prayer Pose Mudra (Eyes are closed)

Press your palms together, and place you hands at your heart center with the thumbs at the sternum.

Bij Mantra:

Sat Naam

Inhale deeply. On the exhale, chant a long SAT and a short NAAM.

We suggest you follow the Bij Mantra with the Prayer of Love, Peace and Light. By reciting this prayer of light daily, you automatically become a benefactor of humankind. By projecting the words of love, peace and light you are sending healing vibrations of light to help uplift, enlighten and heal others.
